From March 23 to 27, the Alliance Française in Paris is putting pronunciation in the spotlight with "Montez le son!" (Turn up the volume!).A week entirely dedicated to phonetics and oral expression, organized as part of Francophonie Month.

This event offers an opportunity to share and discover the historical expertise in phonetics of the Alliance française in Paris.

For five days, students and teachers are invited to celebrate the tones, accents, rhythms, and joy of speaking French!

On the agenda 

Free, personalized phonetic assessments

✔ In person at the Alliance Française in Paris, 101 Boulevard Raspail, 1st floor (Espace Louvre). Free access during the following times: 
March 23, 24, 26, and 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and March 25 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
✔ Online – upon request, with a personalized appointment.

These individual interviews will enable you to:

  • identify your pronunciation difficulties

  • to identify areas for improvement in your pronunciation


March 25: "De vive voix" Day

Improve your pronunciation through music and theater

On Wednesday, March 25, FLE teachers will gather at the Alliance Française in Paris for a day entirely dedicated to pronunciation and new classroom techniques to promote phonetics and oral skills.

On the agenda:

  • Exceptional interactive conference with Hervé PATA, specialist in public speaking techniques and vocal analysis

  • Workshop: “Experimenting with oral expression and phonetics using theatrical techniques for oral expression”

  • "Encounter with Poetry from Sub-Saharan Africa with Alain Mabanckou and Bernard Magnier"

An immersive day to enrich your teaching practices and renew your approach to teaching phonetics in French as a foreign language classes.
