Since July 6, 2026, the Alliance française de Paris has introduced a new version of its Intensive A1 course, designed to help complete beginners build stronger foundations and develop spoken fluency more quickly.
A new structure for more effective learning
The format that makes this course so effective remains unchanged: 72 hours of lessons spread over four weeks, Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. Each morning, for the first three hours, learners continue to develop their comprehension and communication skills, both written and spoken, whilst consolidating their command of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
The fourth lesson now takes on a whole new dimension: with 'The Dialogue Hour', learners have an extra opportunity every day to chat, become more spontaneous and gain confidence in French.
Dedicated time to speak french
Designed as a practical training space, The Dialogue Hour enables learners to apply the concepts studied in general French to a variety of communicative situations.
Through interactive activities, listening comprehension, role-play, vocabulary reinforcement, pronunciation practice, learners gradually develop their fluency and gain confidence. A participatory environment that encourages interaction and gives everyone the opportunity to speak from the very first days of learning.

Taking an intensive course at the Alliance française de Paris means enjoying a learning experience that goes beyond the classroom.
