Conference "The Carnavalet-History of Paris Museum: behind the scenes of a renovation" by Valérie Guillaume - Tuesday, September 21th - 7pm

Created by Prefect Haussmann in 1866, the Carnavalet-History of Paris Museum has been renovated for four years before finally reopening its doors to the public on May 29th: a real rejuvenation for the oldest museum of the City of Paris.

Following the european heritage Days, Valérie Guillaume, the museum's director, comes to tell us about the behind the scenes of this impressive renovation.

Heritage curator for over 30 years, Valérie Guillaume curated the exhibition "Le Marais en héritage(s)" in 2015. She has also published numerous books and articles on architecture, urban design and digital creation.

This event is organised by Alliance Française de Paris and CE RATP, in partnership with Institut français, with the support of la Fondation des Alliances françaises.
