  • When do the courses start?

For beginners, courses start at the beginning of each month throughout the year. For non-beginners, it depends on the pace you choose. Please consult the course calendar https://www.alliancefr.org/fr/calendrier-des-cours-de-francais

 

  • How do I know my level?

A language test can be sent to you after your payment has been received and before you start your course, to assess your level and place you in the right group.

 

  • How much does a French course cost?

  • How do I take the level test?

After completing your purchase, you will have access to the online test.

 

  • How many students are there in each class?

Classes have between 8 (minimum) and 16 (maximum) learners.

 

  • Do you have courses for all levels?

We cover levels A1 to C1

 

  • How do I prove my level at the end of my course?

At the end of your course you can receive a certificate showing the number of hours and the level you have completed.

 

  • What is the methodology used in a French course through drama?

This French course is oriented towards self-expression and communication through an original and structured method, which involves phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, both oral and written, through various activities and dialogues.

 

  • Do I need a book to follow the French through Drama course?

No books are necessary for this course. You will work on extracts from contemporary plays, film dialogues and authentic documents taken from the press: interviews, biographies, reviews of shows, summaries of films and plays, cartoons, etc.

 

  • Can I postpone or change my course dates?

If you wish to change your course dates, it is necessary to inform us at least 2 weeks before the planned starting date of your course. Only one postponement is allowed.

 

  • What happens in case of absence?

In the event of absence, courses cannot be made up or refunded.

 

  • Can I get a study visa?

We are not responsible for the visa process. If the French authorities require a pre-registration certificate, we can issue it on request and after payment of a 150 EUR deposit (non-refundable). We invite you to contact the French Embassy or Consulate in your country directly to find out how to obtain a visa.

 

  • What happens if I don't get my visa?

With official proof, payments made for your course can be refunded. The application fee and the deposit cannot be refunded.

 

  • Who do I contact to use my CPF?

You can contact "entreprises@alliancefr.org" to carry out the procedure with our services, or you can use the links in our catalogue (https://www.alliancefr.org/fr/actualites/decouvrez-notre-catalogue-de-formations-eligibles-au-cpf) on MonCompteFormation, and you will be contacted by our services.

 

  • Who can benefit from the CPF?

All persons aged 16 and over who have worked in France and have a national insurance number have a personal training account.

 

  • How can I use the CPF?

The CPF requires certification at the end of the course in order to be validated. Thus, the Alliance Française de Paris offers a set of courses (4 weeks minimum) + an exam (TEF, DELF or DALF) that can be financed by the CPF.

 

  • Are all the courses and exams financeable by the CPF?

  • Can I pay for a course and an exam with my CPF and my personal funds?

If you wish to finance a course that costs more than your CPF account, you must fund your CPF account with your personal funds directly on MonCompteFormation.

  • How to get a certificate at the end of the MOOCs?

Following our MOOCs does not lead to a certificate but to an "attestation of successful completion" if you have validated more than 50% of the course. On this certificate you will find the logos of the Alliance française de Paris and of the France Université Numérique (FUN) platform which will send you the certificate.
